Certified Nursing Assistant Week 2023 took place June 15-21, and Slate Valley Center on State Route 40 in Granville expressed its appreciation to its hard-working CNAs with ice cream from Cooley’s Ice Cream for both the staff and residents, a special tote bag for each CNA imprinted with “Certified Nursing Assistants – Providing Comfort & Care” and filled with bottles of Gatorade, protein power bars, bags of chips and a pen imprinted with “Putting compassion into action.” Additionally, the facility’s receptionist Christina brought in homemade chocolate chip cookies for the CNAs.

“We love our CNAs!” said recreation director Andrea Kelley. “They do incredible work and certainly deserve recognition and praise.”
