Teen arrested in burglary

A Whitehall teen was arrested last week after he allegedly entered and burglarized a home earlier this month.

Steven A. Woodard, 17, was arrested on Dec. 14 and charged with second degree burglary, a felony, after an investigation of a break in at a village residence.

Police said Woodard was looking for specific items, but was unable to locate them and nothing had been reported as stolen. Additional charges may be filed.

Woodard was arraigned in Fort Ann Court and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility for lack of bail.

The investigation and arrest was handled by Whitehall police investigator Frank Hunt.
