A first step towards consolidation talks?

The town and village of Whitehall have scheduled a meeting for Wednesday, Dec. 3 at 7:15 p.m. to discuss the topic. The meeting will be held at the town recreation center.

Supervisors trim budget; final vote postponed

 

The 2009 Washington County Budget is still a work in progress.

County budget officer Gayle Hall (Fort Ann) asked for the resolution to adopt the 2009 tentative budget be removed from the agenda at the Nov. 21 meeting of the board.

“It’s obvious that we are not ready to take action at this time,” said Hall when the resolution was brought to the floor. “I motion that we table this and pick this up again at a Dec. 2 meeting to be held at 11 a.m. to continue action on the 2009 budget.”

Town to inventory instead of audit

Board institues new policies on gas 

Loose ends are being tied up.

That was the goal of the Whitehall town board on Nov. 12 as they passed a new policy on use of town property and personal vehicles and enacted a new reporting system on fuel and equipment used at the town highway garage.
