Golden Horde Stay Hot Against Flying Forts

Don’t look now Adirondack League, but here comes the Granville Golden Horde. After knocking Whitehall from the league unbeaten ranks, Granville went on the road and stayed hot, defeating Fort Edward 66-20 Wednesday night.

The Golden Horde took charge early, racing to a 27-6 first quarter lead and never looking back.

Liam Farrell poured in a game-high 27 points for Granville.

Isaiah Guyton chipped in nine points for the Golden Horde.

Calvin Boucher had eight points for the Flying Forts.

Granville is now 3-2, 6-6. Fort Edward is 3-3, 5-5.

Cuyler, Horge Lead Cougars on Senior Night

It was Senior Night in North Warren and the Cougars celebrated with a 76-56 win over Whitehall in Adirondack League boys basketball.

Semaj Cuyler netted 24 points and Elijah Horge 23 for North Warren.

Wyatt Jennings added 12 points for the Cougars.

Brenden Groesbeck recorded 20 points and Enzo Rehm 16 for the Railroaders.

North Warren is 6-0, 7-3. Whitehall is 3-2, 7-3.

Tanagers Edge Lakers in Thriller

The Hartford boys basketball team has suddenly become a team to watch in the ADK race, edging Lake George in a thriller 48-47 at the Ella Colvin Gym.

Hartford got out to a commanding 30-14 lead at the half, but the Lakers roared back to pull within 36-35 with a 21-6 run.

Aiden Swezey nailed a 3-pointer with 40 seconds to play which proved to be crucial.

Swezey finished with 21 points for Hartford. Jesse Baker contributed 15 points, 10 rebounds, and seven blocks for the Tanagers.

Lake George got 16 points from Chris Henry and 10 from Kyle Lanfear and Rick Stroup.

Hartford improved to 4-1, 6-4. Lake George is 2-3, 3-11.

Fort Ann Defeats Hadley-Luzerne

Fort Ann defeated Hadley-Luzerne 79-51 in Adirondack League boys basketball.

The fourth quarter was the difference in this contest as the Cardinals outscored the Eagles 25-11 to pull away.

Javier Hernandez scored 21 points and Kadynce Cutter 20 for Fort Ann.

Hunter Charpentier added 12 points and Jaxen Jenkins 11 for the Cardinals.

Danny Deuel led Hadley-Luzerne with a game-high 22 points. Aiden Zaugg and Jacob Bristol each had eight points for the Eagles.

Fort Ann is 2-3, 5-5. Hadley-Luzerne was 1-4, 2-10.

Burghers Top Scots

The Warrensburg boys basketball team topped Argyle 68-51 Wednesday evening.

It was the first Adirondack League win for the Burghers.

Owen Jones scored a game-high 25 points for Warrensburg.

Ben Holcomb added 16 points, Kameron Schwartz 12, and Silas Tucker 11 for the balanced Burgher attack.

Nolan Siskavich led the Scots with 23 points. Jaiden Bapp added 13.

Warrensburg us 1-5, 2-8. Argyle is 0-5, 2-8.
