Fair Haven Steamrolls Windsor in Opener
The Fair Haven football team ushered in the Adam Perry coaching era, steamrolling Windsor in the season opener on Saturday. Perry’s squad enters the 2024 campaign with visions of a state championship dancing in their heads, and on this afternoon did nothing to make anyone doubt them against a Division III perennial power.
The Slaters scored in various ways involving many players as they blew this contest open early. It was a total team effort.
In the first half, Cody Adams tossed two touchdown passes to Jack Almeida and another to Konner Savage.
Sam Kyhill added a 21-yard touchdown run and Max Kyhill scored on runs of 35 and 60 yards.
In the third quarter, Anthony Szabo scored on a four-yard run.
Logan Knipes rounded out the scoring with a 17-yard scamper.
Fair Haven is 1-0. Windsor is 0-1.
Fair Haven Soccer Wins at Jimmy T
Fair Haven trailed at the half but scored twice in the second half to rally past Proctor 2-1 in the annual Jimmy T Tournament at Taranovich Field.
The Phantoms jumped to a 1-0 lead on a goal from Braden Shehee.
Jace Hetrick brought the Slaters even at the 28.41 mark of the second half.
Luke Senecal gave the Slaters the 2-1 lead, scoring the eventual game-winner just a minute later.
Fair Haven is 1-0. Proctor is 0-1.
Slater Field Hockey Falls
The Fair Haven field hockey team stayed close before falling to Brattleboro 1-0 Saturday in their season opener.

Ericka Fletcher made the goal stick, recording 11 saves for the shutout.
Victoria Kelley was also stellar in the goal for Fair Haven with five saves.
