Troopers responded to The Northway Inn in Queensbury for the report of a burglary in progress with weapons. The investigation determined 33-year-old Casey M. Gregory of Fort Ann had allegedly forced entry into a hotel room being rented by someone unknown to him and brandished a weapon, demanding money from the victim, then fled. Gregory was located hiding in a nearby hotel room, where he was taken into custody. He was in possession of a knife at the time, which was seized.

Gregory was processed at SP Queensbury and transported to the Warren County Correctional facility to await arraignment. No troopers or civilians were injured during the incident. Gregory was later transported to SP Queensbury for processing on additional charges.
