Teresa Marie Brown

Granville, NY – Teresa Marie Brown passed away at Albany Medical Center on Saturday, July 6, 2024, unexpectedly with her family by her side.

Teresa was born on April 23, 1977, in Glens Falls. NY is the daughter of Robert Jones and Bonnie Joseph.

She attended Hudson Falls High School. She worked at Landmark in South Glens Falls, and cleaned houses in Buskirk, NY.

Teresa loved being with her friends and family more than anything. Christmas was her favorite holiday and she loved making it extra special for her children.

She loved to journal everyday about things in her life. She also had an amazing love for animals, and she was very passionate about caring for them. If she wasn’t taking in a stray, or finding a home for one, you might see her trying to help a possum in the road. They were her favorite. Just last month, she helped rescue an Owl on the side of the road.

Teresa married her husband Steven Brown on June 20,2024 in Granville, NY.

Teresa was predeceased by her paternal and maternal grandparents Robert and Harriet Jones, and John and Jean French, Aunt Joeann and Uncle Ernie Webster, Aunt Connie Smith, and Cousin- Joshua Coffee.

She is survived by her parents Bonnie Joseph of Hudson Falls, and Robert and Alice Jones of Granville. She is survived by her husband Steven Brown and her children Dacoda Jones of Granville, Amber, Kaitlyn, and Audri Getty of Fort Ann, and four stepsons Brandon, Josh, Codie, and Jayden Brown of Granville. She is also survived by five siblings Jennifer Jones (Arthur) of Granville, Bobbi Jones (Robert) of Fort Ann, Ashley Jones (Chris) of Rome, NY, Arthur King (Haley) of Rutland, VT and her little buddy Chase Robinson of Granville.

She will be missed by her nieces and nephews whom she loved dearly – Aaron, Xander, Addilynn, Oliver, and her dearest Caden as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and lots of friends that she cherished deeply.

Thank you to her dearest friend Lisa McKitterick, and a special thank you to Glenda Cook for always being by her side until the very end.

 A celebration of her life will be held on August 3, 2024, at the P.K. Hill in Comstock, NY at 1pm.
