Whitehall-Joseph E Arquette, 86, passed away peacefully on Thursday July 25, 2024, at home surrounded by his family. Joe was born December 18, 1937, in Whitehall NY to the late Alfred Arquette and Lila (LaMountain) Arquette.
Joe graduated from Whitehall High School in 1956. He was a member of the Whitehall National Guard, retiring in 1983. He was employed at Finch Pruyn paper for 30 years, retiring in 1997.
He enjoyed playing pool, listening to country music, and teaching all of his kids to drive – without fear. Later on in life Joe enjoyed long car rides with his loyal dog Pebbles and the Friday night fish fry at the Legion with the “ladies”. Most of all Joe enjoyed taking pictures, and spending time with his family and friends.
Besides his parents Joe is predeceased by his brothers Albert and Donny Arquette, his sister Sylvia Latterell, his granddaughter Shane Fuller and very special Aunt Lyda.
Joe is survived by his children; Joey (Kitty) Arquette, Judy (Eric) Henry, Jean (Paul) Ferguson, Debbie (Walt) Griffin and Kathy (Eric) Anderson, as well as his sister-in-law Freda Arquette. Joe also leaves behind 14 grandchildren and 27 great grandchildren.
The family wishes to extend a special thank you to all of Joe’s loving caregivers and to High Peaks Hospice.
At his request there will be no calling hours. A graveside services will be held at the Greenmount Cemetery, Whitehall NY at 11:00am on Thursday August 1, 2024.
