Ticonderoga Edges Hartford in TCML Softball
Ticonderoga used a big seventh inning to come from behind to edge Hartford 8-7 Thursday in TCML softball.
Ticonderoga scored two runs in the first and one in the second to jump out to a 3-0 lead.
Hartford plated five runs in the third and another in the fifth to build a 6-3 advantage heading to the final frame.
Ticonderoga rallied for five runs in the top of the seventh to retake the lead 8-6.
The Chaos got a run back in the bottom of the seventh but stranded two runners in the inning as Ticonderoga held on for the win.
Reagan Gebo recorded 11 Ks for Hartford. Gebo also drove in a pair of runs and added a sacrifice.
Cailin Severance and McKenzie Dickinson both doubled for Hartford. Arianna Raymond also contributed a hit.
Clara Mitchell was the winning pitcher for Ticonderoga with nine Ks and also added a hit.
Jazlyn Disbrow and Isabelle Burroughs had hits for the winners.
Hartford is now 6-3 on the season.
West Rutland Defeats Slate Valley
West Rutland rode a strong pitching performance from Olivia Graham with relief help from Riley Babbie to defeat Slate Valley 12-4 in TCML softball.
Graham went four innings for the Outlaws and Outsiders, striking out nine. Babbie pitched two innings to close out the contest.
Caroline Giordano had the key blow for Westside, nailing a three-run double in the fifth.
Lana Karnai had a pair of hits for West Rutland. Hayley Raiche, Riley Babbie, and Taylor Murphy each had two-RBI singles. Georgia Donaldson tripled and singled.
Olivia Cole-Bugay and Sydney Ellis combined for four hits for Slate Valley.
Jenna Patch struckout 10 in defeat for Slate Valley.
West Rutland improved to 4-3-1. Slate Valley drops to 1-9-1.
