Nancy E. Koutrakos

Hebron, New York – Nancy E. Koutrakos, 59, passed away at her home with her loving family at her side on Monday, July 1, 2024, following a brief illness.

Nancy was born on March 30, 1965, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, the daughter of the late Steven C Koutrakos Sr. and Elaine F (Locke) Koutrakos.

She lived in both Stratford, Connecticut and Hebron, New York.

Besides her parents, she is pre-deceased by her two brothers, Steven, C Koutrakos, II and James M Koutrakos.

Nancy was survived by her daughter, Anastasia, and two brothers Frank and Nicholas.  She was a second mother to her nieces and nephews; Melissa, Elaine, Kloie, Steven, Andrew, Nicholas III, and Caleb.

She was currently employed as property manager for the Rutland Housing Authority in Rutland Vermont. She previously owned and operated two well-known local restaurants in Granville; Wanda’s restaurant and the Mettowee Café on Main Street. She also previously enjoyed working with the local school districts as a substitute teacher.

Nancy had many interests in life. She enjoyed helping people, playing bingo and shopping.

There was nothing more important to her than the love she had for her daughter Anastasia.

The calling hours are from 6 to 8 on Friday evening, July 12th, at Michael G. Angiolillo Funeral Home, 210 Broadway in Whitehall, NY; beginning at 6 pm and concluding with a service at 8 pm with Pastor Daniel Poucher officiating. She will be laid to rest with her parents at Lakeview Cemetery in Bridgeport, Connecticut at a later date.

She will be sadly missed.

Anastasia and Frank would like to thank her family and many friends for all their help, prayers and well wishes.

The family suggests that memorial contributions in Nancy‘s memory are given to her daughter Anastasia for her college education.
