POULTNEY – Get ready to experience a vibrant and unforgettable 4th of July celebration in the historic town of Poultney. Spanning two days, this year’s festivities promise something for everyone, from thrilling parades to exciting entertainment and delicious food.

The highlight of the celebration is the town parade, kicking off on Thursday, July 4 at 10 a.m. in East Poultney. Before the parade, fuel up with a delicious pancake breakfast at the Methodist Church on Main Street, starting at 8 a.m. This year’s parade theme, “Heroes Among Us,” invites participants to showcase their creativity, with cash prizes awarded in five categories. Following the parade, head to the Bhakta campus for an afternoon packed with fun activities, including magic shows, food trucks, hot dogs and lemonade, a kids’ bounce house, and more

On Friday, the excitement continues at Poultney Elementary School, starting at 3 p.m. Enjoy captivating magic and marionette puppet shows, indulge in tasty treats from food trucks, and engage in various activities for kids. Don’t miss the chance to win big with our 50/50 raffle and make sure your kids participate in the free raffle giveaway of fishing rods and tackle boxes, generously provided by former members of the Poultney Fish & Game Club. The festivities culminate in an all-ages dance party at 7 p.m., followed by breathtaking fireworks display at 9 p.m.
