The coaches of the Adirondack League recently announced their all-stars for the 2024 season. A pair of ace pitchers shared Most Valuable Player honors.
Hurlers Liam Farrell of league champion Granville and Brady Cheney of Warrensburg were named Co-Most Valuable Players.
Farrell, a junior for the Golden Horde, went 6-1 on the mound as the top fun of a solid Granville rotation. He only gave up three earned runs all season and finished with an ERA of 0.46 while striking out 85 batters. Farrell also batted .353 for the Golden Horde.
Cheney finished 10-0 this season with a 0.25 earned-run average. He struck out 100 batters and also batted .344 with 21 RBIs.
Also selected to the Adirondack League first team were Stevie Schloss, Caden Allen, and Caleb Remington of Warrensburg, Argyle’s Ben Cuthbert, Fort Ann’s Josh Dornan, Hadley-Luzerne’s Matt Case, Hartford-Fort Edward’s Joe Allen, North Warren’s Wyatt Jennings, Salem-Cambridge’s Stephen Yakubec, and Whitehall’s Jacob Whiting.
Second-team selections include Corinth’s Kaden Wright and Eddie McGuire, Granville’s Will Jennings, Hadley-Luzerne’s Evan Kader, H-FE’s Zach Bartholomew, Lake George’s Nick Wagemann, North Warren’s Maceo Matson, Salem-Cambridge’s Sawyer Saddlemire, and Warrensburg’s Louis Lang.
