The coaches of the Adirondack League recently selected their softball all-stars for the 2024 season, and league champion Salem and playoff teams Granville, Whitehall, and Fort Ann headed up the players recognized.

Salem pitching ace Sophia Keays was named the Adirondack League Most Valuable Player. The junior led the Generals to the ADK crown, regional title, and Class D state championship game, spinning a no-hitter in the semifinals.

League runner-up Granville placed two players on the team, senior pitcher/first basemen Lauren Bascom and sophomore pitcher/first basemen Ella Olsen.

Whitehall also had two players selected to the team, sophomore pitcher/shortstop Khloe Paddock and sophomore shortstop/pitcher Marissa Eggleston.

Also named to the first team were Lake Goerge sophomore shortstop/pitcher Mollie Johnson, Argyle senior pitcher/third basemen Maddy Eldred, Fort Ann senior pitcher Emma Blondin, Warrensburg senior pitcher Hope Sherman, and Hartford senior pitcher Raeghan Liebig.

Players selected for the second team include Granville senior catcher Haylie Barber, Granville senior center fielder Melissa Beaver, Corinth junior pitcher Teagan Grady, Salem senior shortstop Bella Garrison, Argyle junior catcher Becca Campbell, Hartford 8th grade catcher Silver Stewart, Whitehall sophomore catcher Mia Waters, Argyle 8th grade pitcher/third basemen Grace Depew, and Fort Ann senior shortstop Madison Freebern.
