New York State Police have arrested 24-year-old Dylan T. Scoville on an arrest warrant on charges stemming from a May 30 assault in the village. Scoville faces one count each of gang assault, criminal possession of a weapon and burglary. A woman and teenager were arrested following the alleged attack on similar charges

Troopers found Scoville hiding in a home in Whitehall on Tuesday, June 11. During the arrest, Scoville attempted to flee on foot but was soon apprehended. He was arraigned in Washington County’s Centralized Arraignment Court on the specified charges, along with a new count of resisting arrest. Bail was set at $10,000 cash or $50,000 bond.

On May 30, troopers responded to a home in Whitehall for the report of an assault in progress. Upon arrival, troopers located a seriously injured victim. The investigation has determined that 42-year-old Jessica Cleveland, also from Whitehall, Scoville, and a 17-year-old juvenile reportedly came to the victim’s property uninvited. The victim, who is known to the suspects, felt threatened and fled into his home. The suspects followed, forced entry and violently assaulted the victim before fleeing the scene. The victim was evaluated for what was believed to be serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Cleveland was located and arrested at her Whitehall home the following day. The 17-year-old was located walking in the area of State Route 4 in Whitehall and was also arrested. Both were processed at SP Granville and transported to the Washington County Correctional Facility to await arraignment. They also face the same burglary, gang assault and weapons possession charges.
