The Section II baseball tournament kicks into high gear for several Adirondack League and other local teams tomorrow.
Warrensburg received the highest designation among teams in the Border Country Sports area. The Burghers are the No. 1 seed in Class D and will await the winner of No. 9 Loudonville Christian-Doane Stuart at No. 8 Germantown.
Defending champion Hartford-Fort Edward is No. 3 in Class D and will meet No. 6 Fort Ann on Saturday at 1 p.m. at Hartford’s Bob Wilkins Field. The contest is a rematch of last year’s title game.
Hadley-Luzerne is ranked No. 2 and will host No. 7 Argyle on Saturday at 10 a.m.
No. 4 North Warren will host Mekeel Christian on Saturday at 1 p.m.
In Class C Whitehall the No. 15 seed will meet No. 2 Saratoga Catholic on Thursday night at 7 p.m. at Veterans Memorial Park.
Lake George is No. 14 and will travel to No. 3 Canajoharie on Thursday at 4 p.m.
No. 10 Greenwich visits No. 7 Galway on Thursday at 4 p.m.
Adirondack League champion Granville was awarded the No. 7 seed in Class B and will host No. 10 Cairo-Durham on Thursday at the Ken Burch Complex at 4 p.m.
No. 11 Salem-Cambridge plays at No. 6 Johnstown Thursday at 4 p.m.
Corinth is the No. 12 seed and will visit No. 5 Coxsackie-Athens tomorrow at 4 p.m.
In Class A Hudson Falls is the No. 12 seed and will hit the road to challenge No. 5 Ravena Thursday at 4 p.m.
