Whitehall- Clifford McFarren 71, a longtime resident of Whitehall, passed away peacefully at his home on Monday April 22. Born May 17 in Glens Falls, he was the son of Walter (Jiggy) and June McFarren.
Cliff entered the United States Marines at 17 years old. He served his country for six years and was a Vietnam Veteran. Cliff retired from General Electric Company in Fort Edward in 2013.
Cliff loved traveling, especially spending winters in Florida with his wife Pat. Cliff and Pat made a point of visiting many American Legion’s and VFW Posts, from NY to Florida. Cliff liked to play Quick Draw, while sharing a Michelob Ultra with his many friends.
In addition to his parents, Cliff was predeceased by his brother Alan McFarren, who he missed very much.
Cliff is survived by his wife and best friend Pat Manor McFarren. His son Todd (Seak) Manor and his two beautiful granddaughters Sage and Ivy. His brother’s son and special nephew Alan (Liz) McFarren and new great nephew Graham. His brother Steward McFarren and sister Diana French. Brother-in-law’s Mike and Dan Manor and sister-in-law’s Maxi McKibben, Sandra Beck, and Esther Raymond. Special niece Serena Putorti, and his close buddy, Billy Stone. Cliff loved all his nieces and nephews Rosa, Brenda, Noah, Larry, Stanley, Haven, Kelly, and Kim. His best friend and cousin Ray Reynolds. His friend’s Don Hart, Scott Eckhard, and so many other friends at the American Legion, Elks, and Bottoms Up.
Friends and family may call at Jillson’s Funeral Home Inc. 46 Williams Street, Whitehall, New York on Friday April 26 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted at noon on Saturday April 27 at the Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church, Skene Street, Whitehall, by Father Zachariah Chichester Pastor officiating. Burial will follow the Mass with full military honors in the Greenmount Cemetery, Whitehall.
