Whitehall: Doris T. Donaldson, 80, (AKA THE LUNCH LADY) passed away on April 18, 2024, unexpectedly in Glens Falls Hospital surrounded by her family.
She was born on December 16, 1943, in Cohoes, New York, the daughter of the late Roland and Bernadette (Rainville) Neddo
Doris took pride in being everyone’s favorite Lunch Lady at the Whitehall Central School and loved her kids at school.
She had many enjoyments like baking with her family, specially making cookies for Isabella, watching the Yankees play baseball on TV, going to the Green Barn with her daughter and spending time with her beloved dog, Bubba.
She worked 17 years at the Grand Union Grocery and then another 25 years at the Whitehall High School as a Head Cook.
Doris was married for 61 years to the love of her life Arthur Donaldson. He always told her that she was the greatest woman he had ever met.
Besides her husband she is survived by her daughter Theresa and John, her son Michael and Gail, a brother Joseph and Sue. Grandchildren: Ashley, Edward, Peter, Tiffany, and Brandon. Great Grandchildren: Isabella, Gage, Carter, Lincoln, Willow, Harper, and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 am on Friday April 26, 2024, at the Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Whitehall, with Rev. Father Zachariah Chichester officiating.
Burial will follow the Mass in the Neddo Street Cemetery in Whitehall, New York.
