TanaForts Hold off Generals

The Hartford-Fort Edward baseball team remained perfect in Adirondack League play, winning their second thriller in a row, holding off Salem-Cambridge 2-0 on Monday.

Joe Allen was superb on the bump, firing a one-hit shutout with 11 strikeouts and one walk.

Aiden Swezey led the TanaFort offense, going 3 for 3 with a double, two steals, and a run scored. Danny Boucher added a double for H-FE.

Salem-Cambridge got 10 strikeouts and a base hit by Stephen Yakubec.

Hartford-Fort Edward is 3-0, 3-1. Salem-Cambridge is 1-1, 1-1.

Eggleston, Paddock Lead Whitehall Over Cards

Marissa Eggleston at the plate and Khloe Paddock in the circle powered Whitehall to a 6-2 win over Fort Ann in ADK softball.

Eggleston went 3 for 4 with a double, home run, and five RBIs to lead the Railroader offense.

Paddock scattered four hits, struck out 11, and walked two in earning the pitching win.

Mia Waters, Emily Lyng, and Olivia Gordon also had two hits each for Whitehall.

Emma Blondin, Baylee Wright, Maddie Freebern, and Jadyn Mitchell had hits for the Cardinals.

Whitehall is 1-1 on the season.

Salem Edges Hartford in ADK Softball

Salem collected a key early season victory, Edging Hartford 3-2 in Adirondack League softball action.

Sophia Keays pitched a two-hitter with 11 strikeouts for the Generals.

Keays also doubled, singled, and drove in a run. Riley Gallagher contributed a triple for Salem.

Silver Stewart tripled for Hartford.

Reaghan Liebig recorded nine Ks for the Tanagers.

Argyle Cruises Past Fort Edward

Argyle scored early and often as they defeated Fort Edward 23-1 in Adirondack League softball in five innings.

Riley Kober, Maddy Eldred, and Grace Depew combined for a three-hitter and 10 Ks in the circle for the Scots.

Kober also connected for three RBIs.

Ava Cormie had two hits for Argyle. Alexis Anderson and Mya Munoz doubled for the Scots.

Eldred, Anderson, and Laura Pagano contributed two RBIs each.

Argyle is 1-0, 1-2.
