Several Adirondack League boys high school basketball players were honored at the Capital Region Scholar Athlete Banquet held Sunday at the Troy Hilton Garden Inn.
Selection for the award is based on the player’s achievements in the classroom, the community, and on the basketball court.
Guidelines for Selection include being a male basketball player who has made a significant contribution to his basketball program, demonstrates a high standard of academic achievement, has shown good citizenship and moral character, and demonstrates sportsmanship and leadership ability.
Samuel Burns of Lake George was named the top Scholar-Athlete for the Adirondack League.
Other Adirondack League Scholar-Athlete recipients for the 2023-2024 season are Andrew Austin of Argyle, Alex Wiseman of Corinth, Gabe Glass of Fort Edward, Will Jennings of Granville, Evan Kader of Hadley-Luzerne, Nathan Fiske of Hartford, Zachary Kramer of North Warren, Josh Harrington of Salem, Steve Schloss of Warrensburg and Jake Whiting of Whitehall.
