Golden Horde Win Two in Row

The road has been bumpy for the Granville boys basketball team the last couple of weeks. However, the Golden Horde may have found their game at the right time.

After avenging a loss to Lake George on the road Friday in the Adirondack League playoffs, a shorthanded Granville team was dominant in a 66-38 non-league victory over Poultney (VT).

The Blue Devils led 4-3 early and never led again. The Golden Horde went on a 10-0 run to lead 13-4 and never looked back. Granville led 21-8 after the first quarter and 27-14 at the half.

The Golden Horde extended the lead in the third quarter. Using a strong inside game led by Liam Farrell and Will Jennings Granville powered their way to a 45-21 lead heading to the final stanza.

Liam Farrell led Granville with 31 points.

Poultney received 14 points from Ari Camp.
