Hartford snapped a recent losing skid, defeating rival Fort Ann 64-46 in Adirondack League boys’ basketball last Tuesday evening.
Nate Fiske scored 17 points and Aiden Swezey added 12 for the Tanagers. Javier Hernandez scored 15 points for the Cardinals. Garrett Brown chipped in 11.
Hartford improved to 3-7, 6-10. Fort Ann dropped to 1-10, 2-13.
Friday afternoon it was the annual Assembly Game at the Ella Colvin Gym in Hartford, and Granville overcame the Tanagers and the entire student body in a 56-46 victory. The win clinched Granville a spot in the Adirondack League Tournament as either the third or fourth seed.
RJ Monger led the Golden Horde with 19 points. Isaiah Guyton added 11 points for Granville. Nate Fiske led Hartford with 14 points. Austin Wells and Aiden Swezey each contributed 11 points for the Tanagers.
Granville is 8-3, 11-5. Hartford is 3-8, 6-11.
