On Jan. 11, residents at Slate Valley Center on Route 40 in Granville were in for a real treat as Angelia Mack from Ponies For Purpose dropped by and brought two new lion head angora bunnies named Sugar and Spice.
These soft bunnies made the day of the residents as they couldn’t stop talking about them at the end of the visit.
Mack has been expanding her animal inventory, always keeping it fun and interesting at so many skilled-nursing facilities.
“We love having the ponies come in to visit the residents, but when the horse handler changes it up a little, the residents loved it,” said Recreation Director Bailey Greenough. “Angelia can bring almost any animal she’d like because her animals are so lovable and Angelia, herself, is so great with the residents. It becomes a great experience that the residents always talk about.”
Angelia’s Ponies For Purpose comes from Auburn, New York, and she travels to many skilled-nursing facilities throughout New York state.
