Several local wrestlers claimed titles and others placed on the podium at the Section II Class D Wrestling Championships yesterday at Cambridge High School.

Salem-Cambridge won the team championship with 260 points. Warrensburg-Lake George was second with 198 points. Granville also cracked the top five with 121 points. Whitehall placed seventh with 75 points.

Four Salem-Cambridge wrestlers claimed crowns. Henry Dill was first at 131 pounds, Camden Hill at 285, Luke LeBlanc at 108, and Jonah Stevens at 101.

Also reaching the podium for Salem-Cambridge were Nathan Havens who placed second at 124, Isaiah Lohret third at 170, Tanner Lussier third at 215, Brayton Cary third at 160, Ethan Adams third at 138, Cooper Saddlemire fourth at 160, Jacob Wardwell fourth at 145, Sawyer Saddlemire fifth at 145, and David Gilles sixth at 170.

Lake George crowned a trio of champions. Colton Bell was the title at 145, Cameron Hunt-Allen at 215, and Gavin McCabe at 160.

Finishing second for the Wolverines were Ethan York at 116, Zachary Olden at 138, and Cameron Carpenter at 108. Benjamin Miner at 152 and Lucas French at 170 recorded third-place finishes, Landon Duers was fifth at 131. Cody Bacon (101), Kawliga Duell (116), Cody LeBarron (170), and Glen Potter (285) were sixth.

For Granville, two wrestlers nabbed first-place honors. Brandon Beaver won the championship at 170 pounds and Jaxon Torres at 152.

AJ Landon was second for the Golden Horde at 190. Nathan Barber was fourth at 138, Carter Lehoisky fourth at 101, Kaiden Turrenne fifth at 160 and Hayden Villareal sixth at 131.

Cj Monty was the lone Whitehall wrestler to bring home a title. Monty claimed the championship at 190 pounds.

Ayden Smith placed second for the Railroaders at 160 pounds, Allen Beaulieu was third at 145 pounds, and Matt Ingerson fifth at 138.
