Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I’m Keith Harrington.

Warrensburg used a decisive advantage in the middle quarters to pull away to defeat Granville 54-29 in an Adirondack League girls basketball contest Wednesday night.

With the win, Warrensburg has clinched the second seed for the upcoming Adirondack League playoffs and will host #3 Hartford on Wednesday, February 7th.

Warrensburg took control of the game with a strong showing in the middle two quarters, outscoring Granville 35-7.

Elli York finished with 24 points, 10 rebounds and 5 blocks. Hope Sherman filled the stat sheet with 14 points, 11 rebounds, 5 steals, and 6 assists.

Granville was led by Lauren Bascom who finished with 14 points. Melissa Beaver and Megan Decker chipped in five points each.

With the win, Warrensburg improves to 8-1 in league play and 15-2 overall. Granville drops to 4-5 in the league and 7-8 overall.

Hartford Tops Fort Ann on Senior Night

It was Senior Night for the Hartford girls basketball team and Alawnah Dunda saved her best game for the occasion. Dunda scored a career-high 30 points as the Tanagers topped Fort Ann 53-23.

Dunda recorded a double-double by also hauling down 18 rebounds.

Along with Dunda, Raeghan Liebig, Cassie Wade, and Jaydyn Fish were recognized for their service to the program.

Cailin Severance added 13 points for Hartford.

Cherokie Steves led the Cardinals with nine points.

Hartford raised their mark to 7-2, 10-4. Fort Ann fell to 2-7, 6-11.

Lent Surpasses 1,000 Points in Hadley-Luzerne Win

Hadley-Luzerne rolled past Lake George 48-23 in Adirondack League girls basketball Wednesday night.

For the Eagles Madison Lent surpassed the 1,000 career point mark.

Lent paced Hadley-Luzerne with a game-high 20 points. She also pulled down eight boards.

McKenzie Maslonka added nine points and a whopping 17 boards. Gabbie Graham chipped in 13 points.

Chloe Poppa led the Lakers with 11 points.

The win clinches the No. 4 seed in the Adirondack League Tournament for the Eagles who will face Corinth in the semifinals.

Hadley-Luzerne is 7-3, 10-8. Lake George is 3-6, 3-13.

Corinth Stays Perfect

Corinth stayed unbeaten in Adirondack League girls basketball action with a 56-23 victory over North Warren.

Whitney Cameron netted 14 points to lead the Riverhawks.

Emily Dingmon and Taylor Stone added eight points each.

North Warren received 14 points from Bella Tucci and 10 from Keira Stonitsch.

Corinth is now 9-0, 14-1. North Warren is 2-7, 3-11.
