This was the kind of game Whitehall girls’ basketball coach Boyd Hunt strives for. His team scoring in the 30s and holding an opponent in the teens.
The Railroaders made the long trek to North Warren worthwhile Friday night, topping the Cougars 32-15 in an Adirondack League contest.
Emily Lyng led Whitehall with 12 points. Lacie Bruno had five points for the Cougars.
Whitehall is now 4-2, 5-7 on the season.
On Wednesday night Whitehall pulled away in the second half to defeat Fort Ann 45-23 in another Adirondack League girls’ basketball contest. The Railroaders led just 17-13 at the break but used a 28-10 advantage over the final two quarters to blow the game open.
Haley Pratt led Whitehall with 12 points. Cheyenne Holman chipped in 11. Cherokie Steves had seven points for the Cardinals.
Whitehall was 3-2, 4-7 after the win. Fort Ann dropped to 1-4, 3-6.
