On Monday, Jan. 8, at about 8:30 p.m., the Pawlet, VT Constable stopped 42-year-old Jacquelyn B. Monahan for a motor vehicle violation on River Road in the town.

It was subsequently determined that Monahan was wanted as a fugitive from justice from Washington County on a bail jumping charge related to failing to appear in court after being released on bond.

Monahan has been charged in New York with criminal possession of narcotics in both the third and fourth degrees.

Following her arrest, Monahan was lodged at the Marble Valley Correctional Facility in Rutland pending further court proceedings.
