Hartford Girls Take Down Lakers

The Hartford girl’s basketball team picked up a win on their home court, taking down Lake George 43-20 in Adirondack League play at the Ella Colvin Gym.

Mckenzie Johnson filled up the stat sheet with 16 points, four rebounds, and five assists for the Tanagers.

Alawnah Dunda contributed a double-double with 15 points and 13 boards. Raeghan Liebig collected 12 rebounds for Hartford. Cassie Wade chipped nine rebounds and four steals. Cailin Severance scored eight points.

Mady Brennan had five points for the Lakers.

Hartford is 5-1, 8-3. Lake George is 3-4, 3-10.

Warrensburg Cruises Past Scots on the Road

Warrensburg traveled to Argyle on Friday night for an Adirondack League matchup and came home with a 61-28 victory.

Warrensburg raced out to a 24-7 first quarter lead and was able to cruise from there.

Warrensburg placed three in double digits, with Elli York finishing with 23, Zailey Baker with 13, and Hope Sherman with 12.

Argyle was led by Reagen Humiston with eight points. Brie Reid and Ava Cormie added seven each.

With the win, Warrensburg improves to 5-1 in the league and 11-2 overall.

Burghers Roll Over Argyle

Warrensburg rolled over Argyle 71-31 in an important Adirondack League boy’s basketball matchup.

Steve Schloss led the Burghers with a 32-point performance.

Evan LaPell added 19 points and 15 rebounds for Warrensburg. Brady Cheney had eight.

Dru Austin led Argyle with 10 points. Shea Squires chipped in eight.

Warrensburg is 4-2, 9-4. Argyle is 3-2, 7-2.

Whitehall Girls Top Cougars

The Whitehall girl’s basketball team made the long trek to North Warren worthwhile, topping the Cougars 32-15 in an ADK contest.

Emily Lyng led Whitehall with 12 points.

Lacie Bruno had five points for the Cougars.

Whitehall is 4-2, 5-7.

Fair Haven Defeats Windsor

The Fair Haven boy’s basketball team pulled away in the second half as they defeated Windsor 56-39.

The game was tied 29-29 at the break but the Slaters blew the game open over the final 16 minutes.

Phil Bean had a huge game for Fair Haven, scoring 31 points and pulling down 15 rebounds for a double-double.

Joe Buxton added 14 points for the Slaters.

Corey Lockwood had 16 points and Noah Jenks had 15 for the Yellowjackets.

Fair Haven is now 4-5. Windsor is 4-6.

Poultney Girls Fall to Long Trail

Long Trail stayed unbeaten on the season, taking down Poultney 55-20 Friday night.

The game was tied after a quarter but the Mountain Lions opened up a 16-point lead at the half and pulled away from there.

Camila Marcy paced Long Trail with 15 points. Olivia Cole-Bugay had 14.

Hailey Hayes led the Blue Devils with six points. Jaque Oberg added five and Kait DeBonis four.

Long Trail is 8-0. Poultney is 2-5.
