Granville’s 6th annual Lighted Tractor Parade

The 6th annual Lighted Tractor Parade will be held on Saturday, Dec. 9, this year.

The parade will step off from Telescope Casual Furniture at 5:30 p.m. and return to the same location around 7:30 p.m.

The parade route is as follows: Depart Telescope Casual Furniture; right Church Street/County Route 26; left onto Potter Avenue; right onto State Route 149/Quaker Street; right onto West Main Street past Veteran’s Memorial Park; right on Church Street; then left onto Potter Avenue and back to the rear of the Telescope complex.

Last year’s tractor parade drew thousands of attendees and about 60 participants, so organizers are excited to bring a bigger and better event to the village of Granville this year. It is anticipated that there will be more than 65 lighted tractors, ATV’s, firetrucks and more.

A panel of judges will award cash prizes, slate ornaments, trophies and gift cards to the top three decorated entries. A social media vote after the parade will determine the winner of a tractor trophy.

Each year, the Granville Lighted Tractor Parade donates any excess funds collected from registration to local programs including the Granville Food Pantry and the Granville Central School District’s Backpacks for Hunger Program. Stay tuned for the announcement of this year’s beneficiary.

Before the parade, there will also be photos with Santa and Mrs. Claus, and a craft/food truck fair on Main Street. The day’s events will be livestreamed on the Granville Lighted Tractor Parade Facebook page.

The event is free to attend. To participate in the parade is $10. Entrants can register at: https://www.eventbrite.com/e/granvilles-6th-annual-lighted-tractor-parade-registration-608722404097?aff=oddtdtcreator
