Argyle man faces pornography charges


On Wednesday, State Police working in conjunction with the Troop G Computer Crimes Unit, the Special Operations Response Team and the Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force, arrested 19-year-old Allen Jameson of Argyle on the charge of promoting a sexual performance by a child, a class D felony.

Jameson was also charged with possessing a sexual performance by a child, class E felony and aggravated harassment in the 2nd degree, a class A misdemeanor.

Jameson is alleged to have promoted and possessed images consistent with child exploitation. He also reportedly sent a threatening message to a law enforcement agent.

The arrest followed an investigation and execution of a search warrant for Jameson’s Argyle home. The probe began after law enforcement received a tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.

Jameson was arrested at his home and processed at the Greenwich barracks. He was then arraigned in the Washington County Centralized Arraignment Court and remanded to the Washington County Correctional Facility in lieu of $5,000 cash bail or $10,000 bond.
