Bolton-Warrensburg Boys Win David Leach Memorial Tournament

The Bolton-Warrensburg boys soccer team won the David Leach Memorial Tournament, rolling past host Old Forge 6-0.

Louis Lang scored twice on penalty kicks to lead B-W.

Ben Holcomb, Andrew Morehouse, Kasimir Krzypkowski and Tyler Trowbridge also hit the back of the net.

Tanner Monroe and Will Hens had assists for B-W.

Keith Sonley earned the shutout in goal with eight saves.

Jordan Stokes stopped 16 shots for Old Forge.

Bolton-Warrensburg advanced to the title game with a 6-1 victory over Indian Lake-Long Lake.

Holcomb led B-W in the opening round match with a pair of goals.

Morehouse, Lang, Jace Hubert, and Jacob French also contributed goals.

Shane Mowery recorded three assists.

Sonley had three saves in goal.

Bolton-Warrensburg is now 12-1-1.

Fort Ann Cruises Past Ichabod Crane

The Fort Ann girls soccer team advanced to the championship game of the Maple Hill Tournament, cruising past Ichabod Crane 7-2.

Olivia Winchell had a huge game for the Cardinals, scoring four goals and chipping in an assist.

Cherokie Steves, Savannah Aratare and Lilyanna Lylyk also scored for Fort Ann.

Steves and Kendyll Burch added assists for the Cardinals.

Baylee Wright had six saves in goal for Fort Ann.

The Riders got goals from Carien Zietsman and Hailey Duffy.

Ariana Davis had five saves for Ichabod Crane.

Fort Ann improved to 9-3-1.

West Rutland and Long Trail Draw

West Rutland and Long Trail played to a 1-1 draw Monday in Vermont Division IV boys soccer.

The Mountain Lions scored first to take a 1-0 lead at the half.

Braden Hogan scored in the second half to bring the Golden Horde even.

Peter Guay was credited with an assist.

West Rutland is now 6-4-1. Long Trail is 0-7-2.
