Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I’m Keith Harrington. 

Hartford Volleyball Rolls Over Hadley-Luzerne

Hartford dominated game one and then went on to roll over Hadley-Luzerne with a 3-0 sweep in AdirondackLeague volleyball. 

Game scores were 25-1, 25-15 and 25-15. 

Cassandra Wade and Madison Whaley each had the hot hand, serving up six aces apiece. 

Wade also recorded 25 service points and 11 assists for the Tanagers. Whaley added 11 points and two blocks. 

Bianca Davila had five digs, two aces, and two kills for the Eagles. Jenna Cordova chipped in five digs. 

Hartford is now 3-0, 3-1. Hadley-Luzerne is 0-3, 0-4.

Hadley-Luzerne Cruises Past Golden Horde

Three players recorded hat tricks as Hadley-Luzerne cruised past Granville 10-1 in Adirondack League soccer. 

Evan Kader, Mason Conklin and Eugene Conroy each hit the back of the net three times for the Eagles. 

Dylon Kelly scored his first varsity goal for Hadley-Luzerne. 

Matt Ruigrok scored the lone goal for the Golden Horde.

Granville goalie Josh Ketchum was busy with 26 saves.

Riverhawks Edge Fort Ann 

It’s been a long time since Corinth defeated Fort Ann on the pitch in boys soccer. Longer than most can remember. That changed on Wednesday as the Riverhawks edged the Cardinals 1-0 in Adirondack League boys soccer.

Tyler Smolinski’s goal late in the first half held up as Corinth grabbed the victory. 

Tristan Lozier was credited with the assist. 

Owen Baker recorded seven saves to earn the shutout in goal for the Riverhawks. 

Hunter Wade made 13 stops for Fort Ann. 

Corinth is now 3-0,4-2. 

Argyle Defeats North Warren 

Argyle pulled away to defeat North Warren 6-2 in Adirondack League soccer. 

Landon Buck scored two goals to lead the Scots. 

Shea Squires, Trenton LaPoint, Connor Brockway and Ben Cuthbert also scored for Argyle. 

Coleman Swartz and Gio Marron both hit the back of the net for the Cougars. 

James Conway and a pair of helpers for North Warren. 

Connor Quist had nine saves in goal for Argyle. Will Lindsley finished with 16 saves for North Warren.
