Pack 6044 of Granville is looking for youngsters who might like to join scouting. If that is you or your child, please stop by Veterans Memorial Park in Granville on Friday, Sept. 15, from 5:30-7:30 p.m. The evening features pizza, ice cream, a blow-up archery tent and lawn games.

The Granville Cub Scouts are a family pack, which means they accept boys and girls between the ages of five and 10. The prospective scout must turn five by Dec. 1 to be eligible.

Why join scouting?

To help children gain life skills and learn about a multitude of topics. Scouts hike, build, give back to the community, visit new places, have adventures in the great outdoors and most importantly, have fun.
