Washington County fire officials say a home at 304 Kilburn Rd. in Cossayuna was heavily damaged by fire on Wednesday, June 21.
It took firefighters nearly an hour to control the blaze, which tore through the roof and front entrance of the structure.
No injuries to the residents or those battling the flames were reported.
Speaking with WNYT the Cossayuna fire chief says the home’s owner first tried to extinguish the fire by himself but was unsuccessful. He said the cause appears to be accidental but remains under investigation.
