Alice L. Marold

Alice L. Marold formerly of North Hebron, New York, passed away at her daughter’s home in Alpharetta, Georgia, on Saturday, May 6, 2023, at the age of 80 after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Alice proudly served as the school nurse at Granville High School in the 1980s and 1990s. Despite moving to Martin, Georgia, within the past few years, she maintained many close friends in the Granville area.

She was the beloved wife of the late John Marold; loving mother of James Torino (Bethany), Dr. Donald Torino (Trish Lobo), Michael Torino (Kritzie) and Eileen Eneberg (Dale); and stepmother to Pam Easley (John) and John Marold Jr. (Pat). Alice was cherished by her 24 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. She was the adored sister of Mary Helen Randolph (Jack), John Macedonia (Jackie), Jane Murphy and William Macedonia and predeceased by Charles Macedonia (Mary), Beatrice Chase and Suellen Gomes. She was the dear sister-in-law of Patricia Adams (Bud).

Family received friends on Monday, May 15, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Charles J. O’Shea Funeral Homes, 2515 North Jerusalem Rd. in East Meadow, New York. A Mass of Christian Burial was held on Tuesday, May 16, at 9:45 a.m., at St. Raphael R.C. Church.

Interment followed at Greenfield Cemetery in Uniondale.

In lieu of flowers, Alice wishes for donations be made to the Granville Area Food Pantry, 3 Morrison Ave., Granville, New York.
