It’s time to catch up on the Good Apple Awards, presented monthly to a Granville High School student who contributes daily to an uplifting school culture. These students are nominated by members of the faculty and administration. The award is presented by Hicks Orchard and includes a Good Apple Plaque, cider donuts, apples and cider.
Here are the winners since the beginning of the school year starting with the most recent.
January – Alaina Muise: Alaina not only maintains a high grade level but is active in the Granville Rescue Squad and hopes to become a paramedic. The senior is looking at several area schools for her medical studies. She is also a mentor to a Granville seventh-grade student.
December – Brent Perry: Brent’s nominators label him the epitome of a student-athlete, a school leader in many organizations including the FFA. Brent plans to attend Alfred State University in the fall for studies in diesel and heavy equipment.
November – Tristan Teer: Tristan is described as a student who helps to motivate others, a good listener and leader in many school endeavors. He hopes to pursue a career in railroading.
