Good Morning! With the Border Country Sports Report, I’m Keith Harrington. 

Salem Defeats Flying Forts

Salem picked up their first win of the season against a league opponent and second overall as they topped Fort Edward 49-35 in an Adirondack League crossover game. 

Altwon Webster scored 15 points to lead the Generals. 

Josh Harrington added 12 points and Stephen Yakubec nine. 

Beau Boucher had 10 points for the Flying Forts. 

Zach Bartholomew and Mike Glass added eight points apiece.

Salem is now 2-17 on the season. 

Fort Ann Nabs Win Over Tomahawks 

Fort Ann nabbed a win as they defeated Corinth 44-35 in an Adirondack League crossover game 

Javier Hernandez scored 12 points and Garrett Brown added 10. 

Riley Stranahan contributed eight points and seven rebounds for the Cardinals. 

Cameron Wisemen led the Tomahawks with 10 points. 

Warrensburg Girls Roll Over Cardinals

Warrensburg closed out their regular season on a high note, rolling past Fort Ann 67-27 in a girls basketball Adirondack League crossover game. 

Elli York finished with a career high 20 points for the Burghers. Kara Bacon had a strong overall game with 14 points, seven assists, and four steals.  Hope Sherman finished with another double-double by recording 11 points and 16 rebounds.

Bridget Anaman had a season high 8 points off the bench for Warrensburg. 

For Fort Ann, Natalie Cody and Angel Aratare both played well and finished with 11 and 10 points respectively. 

Warrensburg finishes the regular season with a 14-6 record. 

Big First Quarter Leads Slaters Over Otters

Fair Haven jumped out to a big first quarter lead and went on to defeat Otter Valley 57-38 in boys high school basketball. 

The Slaters led 20-2 after the opening quarter and were never challenged. 

Sawyer Ramey led Fair Haven with 26 points. Sam Barber added 12. 

Matt Bryant and Owen Thomas had eight apiece for the Otters.

It was Senior Night for Fair Haven. Ramey, Barber, Noah Beayon, Matt Finnegan, Carson Babbie, Frankie Hoover and Alex Patch were honored in a ceremony for their contributions to Slater Nation. 

Fair Haven is 15-0. Otter Valley is 6-11.
