Letter – Thank you from the Whitehall Community Food Pantry

To the editor:

With the worst of the Covid pandemic behind us, the Whitehall Community Food Pantry has concluded another successful year, and we sincerely thank our loyal friends for this continued support.

During 2022, we served 588 families made up of 859 adults, 408 children and 194 seniors.

In addition to weekly food distribution, we gave eight complete Easter dinners and five Thanksgiving baskets.

Thanks to the NYVT Media “Feed Your Mind Feed a Family” campaign, we were able to hand out another 15 Thanksgiving meals.

We thank the Rivette family who donated a Thanksgiving basket in memory of their grandson “Captain John.”

For Christmas, we were able to provide 11 families with ham and all the fixings.

We receive fresh fruits and veggies every Thursday due to our participation in Comfort Food Community Greenwich, New York.

We couldn’t have done what we did without all of you, and we thank you so much.

P.S. We are still receiving milk cards from Stewart’s through the program started by Katelyn Rehm and Luka Morse in 2017. Donate your milk card if you can. Cereal and peanut butter and jelly sandwiches always taste better with milk.
