Blue Devils Complete Sweep of Proctor

Talk about flipping the script. You would have to dig pretty deep into the archives of Poultney girls basketball to find a win over Proctor for the Blue Devils before this season. Now, Todd Hayes and his team have two victories over the Phantoms in the same season.

Poultney completed the season sweep of the Phantoms Saturday with an impressive 58-32 win at Capman Court.

The Blue Devils used a balanced scoring attack to pull away from Proctor in the second half. The Phantoms were within 22-16 at the break.

Hailey Hayes led Poultney with 10 points. Jacquelyn Oberg contributed eight points. Hannah Welch and Katelyn DeBonis added seven points apiece.

Isabel Greb paced the Phantoms with a game-high 19 points.

Poultney raises their mark to 9-3 on the season. Proctor drops to 2-7.

Fair Haven Pulls Away to Top Cosmos

The Fair Haven girls basketball team used a strong second half to power away from Springfield 60-41 Saturday afternoon.

The Slaters clung to a three point lead after a quarter and extended it nine at the break before pulling away over the final two quarters.

Brittney Love had a strong performance for Fair Haven, netting 19 points.

Izzy Cole added 16 and Kate Hadwen 14.

Macie Stagner had a game-high 24 points for the Cosmos.
