On Saturday, Jan. 21, at 2 p.m., the Strand Theatre in Hudson Falls will present a matinee concert, “The North Country Jazz Project: The Big Band Show.”

The concert will feature swing, bebop, fusion, Latin, funk and Motown.

The North Country Jazz Project is a group of nearly 20 musicians from the Glens Falls and southern Adirondacks who have worked professionally in the music business throughout their careers.

Cost is $20 general admission, $15 for seniors and $10 for students. Tickets are available at the Strand box office for cash or check only.


Legendary guitarist Albert Lee will perform at the Strand with special guests the Strand House Band on Sunday, Jan. 22.

And on Sunday, Jan. 22, at 3 p.m., legendary guitarist Albert Lee and his band will rock the house with special guests the Strand House Band.

Lee is one of the most respected and renowned guitarists in music history, having worked with The Everly Brothers, Eric Clapton, Emmylou Harris and The Crickets over his long and illustrious career.

The British-born country-rock artist started his career during the emerging rock ’n’ roll scene of 1960s London, when he swapped bands with the likes of Jimmy Page and Chris Farlowe.

Tickets are $30 general admission and are available at the Strand box office for cash or check only. Tickets also may be purchased online through Brown Paper Tickets.
