The Strand Theatre in Hudson Falls will celebrate the 100th anniversary of the theater’s opening in 1923 with a silent film festival running from Tuesday, Jan. 17, through Saturday, Jan. 21.
On Tuesday, Jan. 17, the Strand will show Harold Lloyd’s comedy “Safety First.”
On Thursday, Jan. 19, plan to enjoy watching Buster Keaton’s action adventure comedy “The General.”
On Friday, Jan. 20, the Strand will present Max Schreck’s horror film “Nosferatu.”
And on Saturday, Jan. 21, the festival will wrap up with Fritz Lang’s science fiction film “Metropolis.”
This is a great opportunity to watch these silent films on the big screen. All movies start at 7 p.m. with free admission and free popcorn, too.
