The Whitehall wrestling team hosted the Railroader Duals on Thursday at Whitehall High School. Teams from Ausable Valley, Greenville, Malone and Tamarac came to compete against the Railroaders.
Whitehall defeated Greenville 42-36, but fell to Ausable Valley 54-24, Malone 49-18 and Tamarac 48-24.
Troy Austin went 3-0 on the day for the Railroaders with three pins, wrestling at 215 and 189.. Austin pinned Bryant Flenstead of Greenville in 1:14, Owen Pray of Ausable Valley in 59 seconds and Cooper Funk of Malone in 3:00.
Sawyer Ostrander went 4-0 at 152 pounds for Whitehall. Ostrander pinned Kaleb Petit of Greenville in 1:34, Kobe Pelkey of Ausable Valley in 15 seconds, Isaac Cromp of Malone in 29 seconds and Ryan McMann of Tamarac in 15 seconds.
Ayden Smith won both of his matches for the Railroaders. Smith pinned Nathan Taylor of Greenville in 2:21 and Anthony Palladino of Tamarac in 1:11.
Matt Ingerson had a pair of wins by pin for Whitehall at 126 pounds.
Dylan Gordon at 160 and Chad Monty at 189 also recorded pins for the Railroaders.
In other matches Ausable Valley topped Greenville 48-22, Malone defeated Greenville 39-33 and Tamarac edged Greenville 36-34.
