“Wasn’t it quite the show.”

That’s how organizer Krystle Morey described the fifth annual Granville Lighted Tractor Parade on Friday evening, Dec. 9.

Several thousand people lined the streets from the starting point at Telescope Casual Furniture down Church and Main streets, several other vantage points and back to Telescope.

From some large tractors hauling floats, race cars lit up like they had just won the Daytona 500, to a small lawn tractor doing burnouts in the street, the parade had just about a little of everything.

There were 65 entrants for the parade, though a few did not show up for whatever reason. There was a chill in the air, but there should be for a Christmas parade.

Following the event, the awards ceremony took place at Telescope with the voting continuing into Saturday for the People’s Choice Award.

It’s been said several times, but with the tractor parade, the tree lighting in Veterans Memorial Park, the lights and decorations along Quaker and Main streets and all of the other events that have taken place the past several weeks, Granville has earned the right to be called Christmas Town USA, just as if it were out of a Hallmark Christmas movie.

Here are the winners from last Friday evening’s spectacular:
