Hartford boys top Fort Ann, 56-43

The Hartford boys basketball team picked up its first win of the season last Wednesday evening, defeating Fort Ann, 56-43, in the Adirondack League opener at the Ella Colvin Gym.

Senior Ray Harrington led the Tanagers with a game-high 21 points. Nate Fiske contributed 14 points for Hartford.

Jackson Paige scored 12 points for the Cardinals. Callon Sutliff added nine.

Hartford is 1-0, 1-1. Fort Ann is 0-1, 1-1.

After a season opening non-league loss to Greenwich, the Hartford boys basketball team has bounced back strong. The Tanagers won their second straight Adirondack League contest Friday night, rolling past Fort Edward, 72-3, in the Flying Forts home gym.

Harrington once again had the hot hand, leading Hartford in scoring for the third game in a row, pouring in 26 points.

Fiske added 14 points, while Austin Wells chipped in nine and Drake Stewart eight.

Calvin Boucher led the Flying Forts with 13 points. Zach Bartholomew scored seven points and Beau Boucher contributed six.

Hartford improves to 2-0, 2-1. Fort Edward is 1-1, 1-3.

Hartford girls open with victory

Defending Section II Class D champion and state semifinalist Hartford opened the season in impressive fashion, routing Fort Ann, 51-15, in an Adirondack League girls basketball contest.

Alawnah Dunda paced the Tanagers with 16 points. Cailin Severance and McKenzie Johnson added eight points each for Hartford.

Angel Aratare had 12 points for the Cardinals.

Hartford is 1-0. Fort Ann is 0-3.
