It was such a success last year the Washington County Fair is bringing back Holiday Lighted Nightsfor a second run.

Work is already underway to erect the light displays for this drive-through event at the fairgrounds in Greenwich. The price is $25 per carload with all proceeds going to fund the annual county fair.

In addition to enjoying the beauty of the displays, visitors are urged to stop at the Holiday Square to purchase snacks for their visit and enjoy other surprises such as shopping at the Holiday Bazaar, visits with Santa including pictures and dropping off letters for him to take back to the North Pole. The lights may also be experienced by riding along on a tractor-drawn wagon.

The specific dates for these events are listed on the Washington County Fairgrounds website. The fair is also urging all those who come to enjoy the lights to bring along an unexpired soup can to donate to the Comfort Food Community.

Holiday Lighted Nights opens Friday, Nov. 25 and runs through Sunday evening Nov. 27. Other dates are December 1-4, 8-11, 15-23 and 26-30. Tickets may be purchased on the website or at the time of the event.
