No one was at home and no firefighters were injured when flames destroyed a 10’ by 30’ shed at 32 Manley Way that had been converted into a residence.
Kingsbury Fire Chief Scott Purdy said the blaze had a good start when he arrived.
Mutual aid from Fort Ann, West Fort Ann, Bay Ridge, Fort Edward, Argyle and Hartford’s tanker responded, primarily for manpower and water.
A firefighter assist and search team (FAST) also responded as initial reports indicated there was a person trapped inside. That fortunately turned out not to be the case.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation by the Washington County Bureau of Fire.
