Patricia K. Morelli

Patricia K. Morelli passed away peacefully on Friday, Oct. 7, 2022, at Glens Falls Hospital with family by her side.

She was born in the Bronx in 1947 to George and Dorothy Martin. To her family she was Patti. Patricia attended Lakeland High School in Mohegan Lake, New York.

She and her late husband Frank N. Morelli, a detective with the NYPD in the Bronx, met at age 11 through a mutual friend. In the late 60s they moved to Putnam Lake in Patterson, New York, where they raised their two beautiful daughters Justine Morelli and Jeannine Morelli-Cary.

Aside from being the best full-time mom in the world, she was known as everyone’s favorite “Cafeteria Lady” where her caring nature made her a true favorite with the students at Henry H. Wells Middle School in Brewster, New York.

She also taught Catholic Church School to fourth grade and was a Girl Scout/Brownie leader. She then worked caring for residents in need at PARC in Carmel, New York.

Patricia also was everyone’s confidant, always willing to lend an ear.

Her later years were spent enjoying her four precious and loved grandchildren Cameron Gallagher, Grant Gallagher, Wyatt Cary and Morgan Cary. She loved making up homemade stories about “Tommy & Bobby,” late-night shows of Zorro, talking politics and card and board games. Her grandchildren were what kept her going; her heart melted when they called her Gram-Gram.

To us she went from Beauty Queen to Queen Bee. We don’t know what we will do without her. If she isn’t an angel now in heaven, it’s because she was one here on earth.
