Hartford soccer blanks Horde twice

The Granville and Hartford boys soccer teams played each other twice in four days last week. The Tanagers took advantage of the scheduling quirk and swept the Golden Horde, outscoring them 17-0 over the two meetings.
On Wednesday on their home pitch, Hartford continued their recent stellar play as they blanked Granville 10-0.
Nate Fiske and Michael Jones both scored hat tricks for the Tanagers. Ryan Morrow continued his recent scoring spree with a goal and two assists.
Cody Baker, Brandon Benson and Drake Stewart also found the back of the net for the Tanagers.
Matt Vladyka was busy for the Golden Horde, stopping 20 shots.
Austin Wells recorded the shutout for Hartford.
On Saturday, Hartford made the short trek over Route 149 to face the Golden Horde again, coming away with a 7-0 win.
This time around Hartford led 4-0 at the half and tacked on three more goals over the second 40 minutes.
Nate Fiske continued to be one of the highest-scoring strikers in the league as he scored three goals for the hat trick.
Zack Backus added two goals for Hartford. Spencer Fehl and Ray Harrington also scored for the Tanagers.
Hartford outshot Granville 26-7.
Wells had three saves for the Tanagers. Vladyka stopped 10 shots for Granville.
Hartford is now 9-3. Granville is 0-11.
Hartford splits volleyball games

The Corinth volleyball team beat Hartford for the second time this season, topping the Tanagers 3-1 last Wednesday.
Set scores were 25-21, 25-23, 18-25, 27-25.
Desiree Neville had a strong match for the Tomahawks, recording 10 assists, nine kills, 12 points and four aces.
Teagan Grady.contributed10 points, six aces and three digs.
For Hartford, Raeghan Liebig had seven kills and six digs. Ava Nadeau had 16 digs. Alawnah Dunda added four kills.
Corinth is 7-2, 7-3. Hartford is now 5-4, 6-6.
The Tanagers bounced back on Friday with a 3-0 sweep of Warrensburg.
Set scores were 25-15, 25-10 and 25-8.
Raeghan Liebig led the way for Hartford with seven kills, four digs and three aces.
Cassie Wade had 10 assists and two aces for the Tanagers, while Olivia Lindridge chipped in five kills.
For Warrensburg, Bre Anaman had three digs, two service points and an ace. Ahnalie Bills added two kills, three service points.
Hartford improved to 6-4, 7-3. Warrensburg is 0-7, 0-10.
