The Hartford TCML softball team was swept in a pair of contests last week, falling to Warrensburg and Ticonderoga.
Warrensburg scored five runs in the first inning and went on to defeat Hartford 18-7 in TCML. A five-run fourth inning helped Warrensburg put the game out of reach.
The Burghers led 6-2 heading to the fourth and increased their lead to 12-2 before Hartford tried to battle back.
Warrensburg closed the game with a five-run seventh to dash Hartford’s hopes.
Alexis Brody was 5 for 5 with a double for Warrensburg. Hope Sherman was 3 for 3 and finished only a home run short of the cycle. Sherman singled, doubled and tripled.
Reagan Gebo was 2 for 3 with a double for Hartford. Sierra McDermott was also 2 for 3.
Ticonderoga jumped out to an early lead and held off a Hartford rally to claim a 9-8 win in TCML softball.
Ticonderoga led 5-0 after the top of the third, but Hartford pulled to within 5-4 in the bottom of the frame.
The teams swapped runs over the last two innings with Ticonderoga managing to squeeze out the victory.
Ellah Slattery was 2 for 4 for Ticonderoga.
Sierra McDermott was 2 for 3 for Hartford.
