The second annual Hartford Greens Golf Giveaway sponsored by NYVTmedia awarding free club memberships for the remainder of the 2022 season saw Dennis and Laura Knorowski of Greenwich win the Couples Membership and Gordon Fish of Glens Falls win the Veterans Membership.

Dennis Knorowski, whose first ever job was at the Troy Country Club, said he gets the North Country FreePress consistently, saw the giveaway promotion and wanted to take a shot.

“I’ve golfed on and off, not steadily, I’m not good at it but I love it,” he said. “My wife drives the golf cart and reads a book. She hates to golf but knows I love it!”

As for Fish, the former security clerk for the U.S. Army for three years said his wife saw the promotion in the FreePress as well.

“I thought, why not? I never win anything so I might as well add this to the collection. Lo and behold, I got a phone call,” Fish said.

Fish said he has been golfing since 1995 and does so for the relaxation he gets from being on the greens.

“I got into golfing to relieve stress from work,” he said.
