George Arthur LaFountain, 65, went home to our Lord on Friday, May 13, 2022, after a short illness. He was born Dec. 17, 1956, in Cambridge Hospital (New York) to Mary and Arthur LaFountain. George was predeceased by his mother, his father, and his brother William.

He is survived by his wife Jackie, his stepdaughter Marie Rossiter (Jon) and her daughters Cailyn and Erin, who all live in Liberty Township, Ohio. He is also survived by many cousins.

George married Jackie Skerritt on Oct. 21, 2000. They lived in Wells, Vermont, until moving to Florida in 2008. They found their ideal home in Amber Glades Estates in Safety Harbor, Florida, where he resided until the time of his death.

George worked on Deer Flats Farm in West Pawlet, Vermont, his whole life until moving to Florida. He felt in his heart he was a member of the Hulett family.

George became the “gentle giant” to all who knew him and will be missed by family and friends in the beautiful North Country and those who live in the beautiful Southern sunshine.
